poem about anxiety

Poetry | Taken Away

It was a house filled with sunflowers; there was light; there was hope
Some days, the sun didn’t come, but their lights sufficed for the lack of stars
But there were clouds who often visited; they were heavy; they made the world dark
Suddenly, there was nothing but rain—instead of being watered, they drowned
Together, they hoped; words that kept them going and stitched them whole
Were the same words that triggered; the same words that rattled
It took them away from her; and she was taken away, too
It was easier to surrender to the pull of the moon than resist the tides
It was a house filled with withered flowers; it was nobody’s homeklook travel affiliate
